Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Sr. Teamcenter PLM Solutions Engineer to bridge Engineering business stakeholders with technical delivery teams.

You will shape product structures, BOM alignment, and data governance during a major Teamcenter transformation. You will define functional blueprints, map data models, and guide BMIDE configurations, working with PLM architects, developers, and data migration teams to ensure deployment aligns with business needs.

Qualifications

5-7 yrs in a business environment focusing on Siemens Teamcenter PLM solutions architecture, deployment, and configuration.
Bachelor’s degree (technical discipline preferred) or equivalent experience.
Experience installing, patching, tuning, and configuring multi-tier Teamcenter environments (Web, Enterprise, FMS/FSC).
Strong understanding of vehicle program lifecycles, component tracking, and variant-rich configuration management.
Experience leading large-scale PLM migrations and global user rollouts.

Responsibilities

Conduct workshops to translate data structures and change cycles into technical specs.
Design end-to-end multi-level Product BOMs and eBOM/dBOM alignment.
Define how to leverage out-of-the-box Teamcenter vs. customization and map objects/attributes for BMIDE.
Collaborate with PLM Lead and developers to provide functional requirements and wireframes.
Architect and govern engineering change management workflows and UAT.
Lead and produce business process models, user stories, and product backlogs.
Plan and execute comprehensive UAT and end-user training for smooth transitions.
Lead workshops with end-users to elicit deep process discussions and map flows.
