Job summary

Hull City Council seeks an experienced Team Manager to lead a social care team delivering high-quality services to children, young people and families. The role focuses on safeguarding, performance management, and implementation of systemic practice to improve outcomes.

You will oversee staff, drive change within a performance framework, and ensure the team delivers consistent, creative services with integrity and ambition.

Qualifications

• Experience leading social care teams.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and child welfare legislation.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of social workers and staff within Children, Young People and Families Directorate.
• Ensure high quality social work practice and progression for children in need of support, assessment and intervention.
• Model elements of systemic practice including strengths-based approaches and SMART plans.
