Job summary

ART INC is seeking a Teaching Artist Lead to develop weekly lesson plans for ASALA, teach across 1st–12th grade, and showcase students’ artistry in an interactive, standards-aligned program.

The role requires creating engaging curricula, managing a classroom, and fostering a positive environment while coordinating with a multi-site center. Background checks are required, and hours run 2:30–6:00 pm, Monday–Saturday.

Responsibilities

• Teach professional and educational classes that are leveled for beginner to advanced students.
• Utilize weekly lesson plans for 1st–12th graders that follow state, grant standards and establish scope and sequence timelines.
• Lead a 20–30‑hour work week (Mon–Sat) 10:00–6:00 p.m.; manage classroom competency and pass background check.
