Job summary

ewi Recruitment is seeking a seasoned TBM Mechanical Superintendent to oversee the mechanical delivery, maintenance and safe operation of TBM systems on a major underground project. You will lead mechanical teams across TBM assembly, commissioning, excavation and relocation, ensuring work is safe, compliant and on schedule.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in a senior mechanical supervisory or superintendent role within tunnelling, heavy construction or infrastructure.
• Proven ability to oversee TBM systems, large-scale mechanical equipment and underground plant.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical installation and maintenance activities on TBM systems.
• Coordinate daily work fronts with tunnelling, electrical, production and site management teams.
• Review method statements, risk assessments and lifting plans.
• Monitor TBM performance, troubleshoot faults and coordinate repairs.
• Manage specialist subcontractors and allocate manpower.
