Job summary

A leading heavy civil contractor is seeking an experienced TBM Superintendent to join their tunneling operations on a major underground infrastructure project.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proven tunneling professional with strong TBM experience to take ownership of field operations on a complex, high-profile project.

The Role

As TBM Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day tunneling operations, managing field personnel and subcontractors, and ensuring the project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead TBM tunneling operations from the field
• Manage Superintendents, Foremen, operators and craft personnel
• Coordinate TBM production, excavation, muck removal and segment installation
• Work closely with Project Management, Engineering and Safety teams
• Monitor production rates, schedule and manpower requirements
• Ensure work is completed in accordance with project specifications and safety requirements
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site logistics
• Identify and resolve field issues to maintain project progress
• Maintain strong communication between field operations and project leadership

Requirements

• Proven experience as a TBM Superintendent / Tunneling Superintendent
• Strong experience working directly with TBMs
• Experience on major underground / tunnel construction projects
• Strong understanding of tunneling methods, ground conditions and TBM operations
• Demonstrated ability to lead large field teams
• Strong safety and production focus
• Ability to work on a demanding, large-scale infrastructure project
• Willingness to travel / work on a project-based schedule
