Veterinary Service, Inc. seeks an experienced Senior Accountant, Tax & Treasury to join the Tualatin accounting team.

You will report to the Controller and drive month-end close, financial reporting, treasury activities, and process improvements across VSI Group entities. You will partner with Accounting Manager on multi-state sales tax accounting (Avalara), nexus monitoring, exemptions, and supporting documentation, while ensuring accurate reconciliations and strong internal controls in a

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, with 7+ years preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA, CPA candidate, or MBA is a plus.
• Strong experience with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Experience in multi-entity accounting, distribution, inventory, sales tax, fixed assets, lease accounting, or rebate accounting strongly preferred.
• Avalara or similar sales tax platform experience and exposure to multi-state sales tax compliance.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and working with large data sets.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Responsabilités

• Support month-end close, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statement prep.
• Maintain lease and fixed asset accounting across VSI Group entities.
• Prepare and support P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, consolidation, and ad hoc reporting.
• Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations and cash flow reporting.
• Support GAAP and banking audits with schedules, reconciliations, and documentation.
• Manage rebate and warranty accounting and reconciliations.
• Support multi-state sales tax accounting and compliance processes.
• Maintain Finance SOPs, accounting controls, and cross-entity consistency.
• Participate in financial system implementations and continuous improvement.
