Job summary

Uplinq is seeking a Senior Tax Strategist to lead and scale its Strategy team. This player-coach role combines management with hands-on client work, guiding tax minimization, estate planning, business succession, and insurance alignment for high-net-worth clients.

You’ll drive a proactive strategy program, leverage AI tools like ChatGPT and TaxGPT, and collaborate with the VP of Tax to deliver consistent, scalable results for a remote, fast-growing firm.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license required for high-net-worth client work.
• 5+ years of progressive tax strategy experience in public accounting or a high-growth advisory environment.
• Experience designing and implementing complex tax and wealth strategies for business owners.
• Strong people-management experience required.
• A tech-forward mindset to adopt AI tools and improve team efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Strategy Team: mentor three staff, set quality standards, and escalate complex questions.
• Own Client Strategy: manage a book of business with up to 12 meetings per week and deliver holistic tax strategies.
• Scale the Strategy System: partner with the VP of Tax to optimize the program and SOPs.
• Build Referral Partner Bench: cultivate and manage relationships with key referral partners.
• Leverage Elite Tech and AI: integrate TaxPlanIQ, Maverick, and AI tools in research and strategy development.
