Job summary

Blue Shield of CA is seeking a Senior Director of Tax Accounting to lead enterprise tax strategy, compliance, and specialty accounting across the family of companies. The role ensures accurate execution, regulatory compliance, and disciplined risk management in a complex healthcare/insurance environment.

Reporting to the Vice President, Controller for Ascendiun and the family of companies, you will translate complex tax requirements into disciplined execution and sound, well-informed decisions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• 12 years minimum in tax/accounting experience.
• 8 years minimum in people management with direct reports.
• CPA/CMA or related certification highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise tax strategy, compliance, and specialty accounting for the family of companies.
• Ensure accurate execution, regulatory compliance, and disciplined risk management.
