Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent).
• 3+ years of individual tax return experience, including at least 1 year with business/entity returns and 2 years accounting.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and tax regulations.
• Proficiency with accounting systems, bookkeeping software, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Strong communication skills and client-service mindset.
• Completion of required HR Block tax assessments and related coursework.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tax statements, financial statements, and BAS statements at required intervals.
• Prepare corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns and audit support.
• Manage tax administration tasks including code research, return prep, and planning.
• Identify deductions and credits to minimize tax liability.
• Engage with clients regularly and maintain strong relationships.
• Stay current with federal and state tax laws and regulatory changes.
• Assist with month-, quarter-, and year-end account analysis and data validation.
• Provide guidance to Associate Tax Strategists as needed.
