Vertex, Inc. is seeking a Tax Processing Specialist to prepare 700+ sales and use tax returns monthly for level 2-3 clients, applying in-depth compliance knowledge and independent judgment to resolve complex tax reporting issues accurately and on time.

You will onboard new clients, review data for accuracy, mentor 1-3 junior staff, and participate in cross-functional MSO teams. The role uses Vertex VITR, Alteryx, and RPA to boost efficiency and accuracy.

Competenze

• 5-8 years of experience in tax processing, accounting, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of sales and use tax compliance regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and able to manage high-volume workloads.
• Excellent oral and written communication; mentoring capability.

Mansioni

• Prepare 700+ sales and use tax returns monthly for level 2-3 clients.
• Onboard new clients, entities, and data files; review data for accuracy.
• Foster client relationships and support online filings and notices.
• Format and import data into Vertex VITR; maintain monthly reports.
• Utilize RPA and Alteryx to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Mentor 1-3 junior staff; participate in MSO special teams.
• Work additional hours during peak processing periods (5th–20th).
