Accounting Search is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to lead tax engagements for a varied client base in Columbus, OH. You will provide expert compliance, planning, and advisory services while guiding a talented team of tax professionals.

In this role, you will nurture relationships with client executives and drive business development, ensuring high-quality deliverables and profitability. A CPA license and 8+ years in public accounting are required.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license is mandatory.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required; Master’s degree in Taxation or Accounting preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive tax experience in a public accounting environment.
• Proven expertise in managing complex tax engagements and serving as a trusted advisor.
• Demonstrated success in business development and client relationship management.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing and retaining professional staff.
• Excellent analytical, technical, project management, and interpersonal skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance and planning.
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong client-service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive tax compliance, planning, and advisory services for a varied client portfolio.
• Oversee and review complex federal, state, and local income tax returns and workpapers.
• Act as a strategic advisor, understanding client business objectives and offering tailored solutions.
• Forge and sustain relationships with client executives, business owners, and internal stakeholders.
• Manage multiple client engagements, focusing on planning, staffing, budgeting, timelines, deliverables, and profitability.
• Drive sustainable firm growth through proactive client service and strategic guidance.
• Contribute to business development through networking, proposal support, and identifying new service opportunities.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop Managers, Seniors, and Staff Accountants.
