Forest Recruiting Group aka Affiliated Recruiters Network in the Capital Region seeks a Tax Manager / Senior Manager to lead its growing regional office. You will manage important client relationships, oversee tax engagements, and develop staff while shaping long-term growth.

The role targets candidates with CPA (preferred), progressive public-accounting experience, and strong knowledge of partnerships, S corporations, C corporations and individuals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA license preferred.
• Progressive public-accounting experience.
• Experience with partnerships, S corporations, C corporations and individuals.
• Experience serving closely held or owner-operated businesses.
• Demonstrated client-relationship management capabilities.
• Previous staff supervision, coaching or team-leadership experience.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines.
• Strong communication skills, professional judgment and executive presence.

Responsabilités

• Manage relationships with closely held businesses, business owners and high-net-worth individuals.
• Oversee federal and state tax compliance, planning and advisory engagements.
• Review returns for partnerships, S corporations, C corporations and individuals.
• Advise clients on tax-planning opportunities and broader business matters.
• Manage engagement timelines, workflow, budgets and client expectations.
• Supervise, coach and develop Albany-area employees.
• Coordinate client work and technical resources across multiple offices.
• Help transition and strengthen longstanding client relationships.
• Maintain high standards of technical quality and client service.
• Support selected accounting, bookkeeping, review and advisory engagements as appropriate.
• Build relationships within the Capital Region business community.
• Identify opportunities to expand existing relationships and develop new business.
• Participate in the office’s long-term growth and strategic direction.
