Job summary

Cimavera Talent is seeking a Tax Manager for a well-established, publicly traded client in Mishawaka, IN to lead the in-house tax function across federal, state, and multi-state tax obligations.

You will supervise a two-person team, coordinate with outside tax advisors, and drive improvements in planning, compliance, and audits while partnering with senior finance leadership. This role offers growth opportunities within a collaborative organization with strong internal promotion history.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• CPA license or progress toward CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive tax experience.
• Working knowledge of federal and state corporate income tax compliance and research.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; able to explain tax matters to non-tax partners.
• Proficient with Excel and tax/accounting software.
• Ability to work fully on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead tax planning and analysis for federal and state taxes.
• Manage outsourced tax partners for returns and tax provisions.
• Review filings and workpapers for accuracy across multiple states.
• Research tax implications of transactions, credits and investments.
• Serve as main contact for IRS and state audits.
• Supervise and develop a two-person tax team.
• Recommend improvements to tax processes and systems.
• Keep leaders informed of tax law changes.
