AssetWatch, a remote-first company powering predictive maintenance, seeks a tax leader to oversee U.S. federal/state/local compliance, sales/use taxes, and international indirect taxes. The role partners with Accounting leadership to expand tax frameworks for new markets.

The ideal candidate will drive automation, improve reporting, and coordinate annual filings with external firms, while maintaining robust internal controls and policy documentation across jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Experience overseeing U.S. federal, state, and local tax compliance.
• Ability to coordinate tax provision support and annual filings with external tax firms.
• Experience building tax frameworks for new markets and regulatory compliance across jurisdictions.

International Expansion:

• Partner with Accounting leadership to establish tax frameworks for new markets.
• Coordinate entity formation, registrations, and compliance in Canada, Mexico, and future jurisdictions.

Compliance & Risk:

• Develop and maintain tax policies, internal controls, and documentation.
• Manage tax notices, audits, and regulatory examinations across all jurisdictions.

Process Improvement:

• Drive automation and optimize Taxware and NetSuite for tax processes.
• Build reporting and dashboards to improve compliance visibility.
