Job summary

Pereira & Azevedo seeks an experienced Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager to lead our tax practice in New Jersey. You will oversee tax compliance and planning engagements, mentor staff, and drive advisory services for business owners and high-net-worth clients, leveraging technology to improve processes.

The role offers close interaction with firm leadership, direct client relationships, and opportunities for growth within a modern, advisory-focused CPA Firm.

Qualifications

• CPA licensed tax professional with strong leadership and client-management abilities.
• Experience reviewing complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts and estates.
• Strong communication and ability to translate tax concepts for clients.
• Experience with tax technology platforms and workflow systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review complex individual, partnership, S-corp, C-corp, trust and estate tax returns.
• Develop and implement proactive tax planning strategies for clients.
• Serve as trusted advisor to business owners and high-net-worth individuals.
• Lead client meetings and communicate tax strategies clearly.
• Mentor staff and develop teams to improve service delivery.
• Identify opportunities to leverage technology for efficiency.
• Collaborate with firm leadership on strategic initiatives and growth.
• Oversee workflow management, scheduling and quality control.
• Stay current on evolving tax legislation and developments.
