Cimavera Talent is recruiting a Tax Manager for a growing wealth management firm in Northern New Jersey. You will lead the in‑house tax practice, oversee preparation and review of a broad range of returns, and partner with advisors to integrate tax strategy into clients’ financial plans.

This hybrid, full‑time role requires CPA/EA, 6+ years of tax experience, and strong leadership. Expect collaboration with executives, staff mentorship, and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• CPA or EA credential; candidates nearing CPA will be considered.
• 6+ years of public accounting tax experience.
• Experience preparing and reviewing complex tax returns.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review a broad range of tax returns (individual, corporate, S corp, partnership, nonprofit, estate, and trust).
• Review staff work for accuracy and compliance with federal and state requirements.
• Manage multiple engagements with quality and timely completion.
• Prepare tax projections and proactive planning for clients.
• Analyze financial statements to identify planning opportunities.
• Partner with advisors to integrate tax strategy into client plans.
• Research complex tax issues and document conclusions.
• Monitor tax law changes affecting clients and processes.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop a team through coaching and training.
• Set priorities and monitor capacity to meet deadlines.
• Communicate with clients on tax planning and complex matters.
