You will lead research, reviews, and client communications, while mentoring staff and driving business development.

The role requires a CPA, a bachelor's in accounting (taxation or related field), and 5+ years in public accounting or corporate tax, with willingness to travel for client engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, taxation or related field is required.
• CPA license is required.
• 5+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting or combined corporate/public accounting experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willingness to travel for client engagements and internal meetings, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Manage tax compliance and advisory services for complex entities (Forms 1065, 1120S) and some individual and corporate returns.
• Conduct in-depth tax research and communicate findings in well-structured reports.
• Review tax returns prepared by others for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Engage with senior client stakeholders to identify issues and implement solutions.
• Drive client service excellence and foster long-term client relationships as a trusted advisor.
• Support client growth and retention through strategic planning and business development.
• Contribute to proposals and client acquisition efforts.
• Mentor and manage tax professionals, providing coaching and career development.
• Oversee resources, budgets and project workflows to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery.
• Maintain technical expertise through ongoing CPA education and tax regulatory updates.
• Contribute to thought leadership and internal training, representing the firm at industry events.
