Job Title: Senior Tax Manager

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager to join our growing mid-size CPA firm in New Jersey. The ideal candidate will lead our tax department, manage complex tax engagements, and contribute to the firm's strategic growth in tax services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the tax department's operations
• Lead complex tax planning and compliance engagements for high-net-worth individuals and businesses
• Review tax returns, research memos, and other deliverables
• Develop and maintain client relationships
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff
• Stay current with tax laws and regulations, implementing changes as needed
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in tax services
• Collaborate with other departments to provide comprehensive client solutions
• Contribute to the firm's thought leadership in tax matters

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (Master's in Taxation preferred)
• CPA certification
• 10+ years of public accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a tax managerial role
• Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state tax laws
• Experience with tax software and research tools
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and client service abilities
• Proven track record in business development
