Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field; MST preferred.
  • Active CPA designation required.
  • 10+ years of progressive tax experience in a public accounting environment.
  • Experience serving closely held businesses and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience managing tax professionals.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and multi-state taxation.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and client relationship skills.
  • Tax controversy, audit defense, or tax authority interaction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage tax engagements for corporations, partnerships, nonprofits, trusts, estates, and individuals.
  • Review complex federal, multi-state, and individual income tax returns for accuracy and compliance.
  • Develop and review sophisticated tax planning strategies and projections for business and individual clients.
  • Manage client relationships, project timelines, and tax filing deadlines.
  • Conduct tax research and provide recommendations on complex tax matters.
  • Represent clients in interactions with federal, state, and local tax authorities, including audits and inquiries.
  • Mentor, develop, and supervise tax professionals, providing technical guidance and leadership.
  • Support business development efforts through client consultations, proposals, and networking activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to tax technology, processes, and workflows.
  • Participate in consulting engagements and special projects as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage tax engagements for a variety of client entities, including corporations, partnerships, nonprofits, trusts, estates, and individuals
  • Review complex federal, multi-state, and individual income tax returns for accuracy and compliance
  • Develop and review sophisticated tax planning strategies and projections for business and individual clients
  • Manage client relationships, project timelines, and tax filing deadlines

Requirements

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
