Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions is seeking a Tax Senior Manager to lead the tax life cycle including provision, compliance, forecasting, and planning. The ideal candidate will have extensive technical expertise, strong analysis, leadership, and communication skills.

The role covers global tax provision under ASC 740, US tax compliance, and collaboration with external auditors. A CPA and 8+ years of tax experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• Eight plus years of experience in public accounting or corporate tax.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 740 including global tax provision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the global tax provision under ASC 740, including coordination of non-US data and FIN 48 analysis.
• Manage US tax compliance, including federal and state returns.
• Assist with cash tax forecasting, estimated tax payments, due diligence, and acquisitions.
• Partner with other departments to ensure accurate tax reporting of transactions.
• Monitor regulatory changes affecting the business and communicate impacts to stakeholders.
• Identify and implement improvements to processes and systems to enhance efficiency.

Job description

The Tax Senior Manager will be a key contributor to all aspects of the tax life cycle - provision, compliance, forecasting, and planning. The ideal candidate will have significant technical expertise and strong analysis, leadership, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare the global tax provision under ASC 740, including coordination and review of non-US data, FIN 48 analysis, tax account reconciliation and financial statement disclosures, documentation of tax positions, and working with external audit firm
• Manage US tax compliance process, including developing and managing compliance workplan and assignments and preparation of federal and state returns
• Assist with other tax matters including cash tax forecasting, estimated tax payments, due diligence, acquisition integration, research, and audit responses
• Partner with other departments as necessary to ensure accurate tax reporting of proposed and completed transactions
• Monitor legislative and regulatory changes affecting the business and provide communications to stakeholders and updates to systems and processes as needed
• Identify and implement improvements to processes, workpapers, and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA strongly preferred
• Eight plus years of experience in public accounting or corporate tax departments; manufacturing experience a plus
• Strong knowledge of ASC 740 including tax provision for a global enterprise
• Experience with OneSource Tax Compliance and Provision software
• Experience with various ERP systems a plus
• Can effectively perform as both a preparer and reviewer
• Strong attention to detail, highly organized
• Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and reconciliation skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
