Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Tax Manager/Senior Tax Professional to join its corporate tax team. This role is responsible for overseeing federal, state, and international income tax compliance and provision activities, along with related reporting, reconciliations, and tax analysis functions. The position plays a key role in supporting the company’s financial reporting and compliance objectives while partnering with internal teams, external auditors, and consultants.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in corporate income tax compliance and ASC 740 tax provisions, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Review and manage federal, state, and local income tax returns, including all related schedules, workpapers, and supporting documentation
  • Oversee international income tax return preparation and reporting requirements
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual federal, state, and international tax provision processes, including forecasting, supporting schedules, journal entries, and reporting deliverables
  • Review estimated tax payment calculations and monitor tax obligations for various entities
  • Analyze and reconcile tax accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial reporting
  • Review state apportionment calculations for partnership and corporate entities
  • Conduct technical tax research related to ongoing tax issues, law changes, and ASC 740 developments
  • Respond to notices and inquiries from taxing authorities and support resolution efforts
  • Collaborate with external auditors and consultants during quarterly and annual reporting cycles
  • Assist with process improvements, special projects, and ad hoc tax-related initiatives as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
  • Big 4, public accounting experience a plus
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in corporate income tax compliance and/or tax provision work
  • Strong understanding of ASC 740 and corporate tax accounting principles
  • Experience preparing or reviewing federal, state, and international tax provisions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience with ERP systems and tax software such as OneSource, Longview, SAP, or similar platforms is preferred
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects while meeting strict deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work cross‑functionally
  • Self‑motivated professional with a proactive mindset and strong attention to detail
