Brightwing is seeking a Senior Accountant / CPA in Troy, MI, 100% on-site, to lead complex individual and business tax work and collaborate with a small, high-touch firm. The role offers growth toward partnership and ownership, with a strong client-facing component and opportunities to influence firm strategy.

The ideal candidate brings 8–15 years public accounting experience, CPA licensure, and proficiency in tax compliance, planning, and financial statements.

Competenze

• Active CPA license required.
• 8–15 years of progressive public accounting experience with a strong emphasis on tax.
• Extensive experience preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns.
• Public accounting audit, review, compilation, and financial statement experience.
• Strong knowledge of tax compliance and planning.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Mansioni

• Prepare and review individual, corporate, S-Corp, partnership, trust, and estate tax returns.
• Process and review complex tax returns for high-net-worth individuals and closely held businesses.
• Provide tax planning and identify opportunities to minimize tax liabilities.
• Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients and respond to technical accounting and tax questions.
• Assist with audits, reviews, compilations, and financial statement preparation.
• Apply knowledge of GAAP and applicable accounting and tax requirements.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff.
• Participate in client meetings, firm initiatives, and business development activities.
• Contribute to firm management and strategic initiatives with potential for partnership.
