CNA Insurance is seeking an innovative Tax Accounting and Reporting Professional to join their Chicago office. This role focuses on enhancing tax processes and managing data throughout the income tax life cycle while providing leadership and mentorship to junior tax professionals. Candidates should possess strong analytical skills, be results-oriented, and have a solid understanding of tax regulations.

Are you an innovative tax professional with strong analytic skills and a passion for technology? We are looking for a driven tax accounting and reporting professional with strong problem solving skills, a process automation mindset, and the ability to tell a story using facts and data to join our division.
The position will be responsible for tax results throughout the income tax life cycle, including leading tax provisions and disclosures, maintaining the propriety of income taxes on regulatory financial statements, managing tax data and analytics, coordinating the impacts to taxes with stakeholders, and consulting on the application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Accounting Standards Codification Topic 740 : Income Taxes (ASC 740) and Statements of Statutory Accounting Principles No. 101 (SSAP 101).
Responsibilities of this role also include assessing the current tax accounting and reporting data landscape and identification of opportunities using technology to drive process changes resulting in increased operational efficiencies. This is a vital role within the division and will have regular opportunities to present findings and insights to senior tax leaders.
This hybrid in office position is located at our headquarters in downtown Chicago.

In certain jurisdictions, CNA is legally required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. In District of Columbia, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York and Washington, the national base pay range for this job level is $72,000 to $141,000 annually. Salary determinations are based on various factors, including but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
