Job summary

Valicy is seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst, Tax and Compliance to join our Finance team in Greenville, NC. You will own multi-state sales/use/corporate/property tax matters and provide strategic support to optimize tax positions.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensure timely tax filings and compliance, and assist with audits, process improvements, and automation initiatives. A CPA and 5+ years of tax-focused accounting are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years in general accounting with tax emphasis; warehouse/manufacturing experience preferred.
• Thorough understanding of sales tax, use tax, corporate tax, property tax; CAT tax basics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Excel advanced.
• ERP experience; Oracle/NetSuite preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with results-driven mindset.
• Advanced verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Adaptability, technical competence, and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Understand company Mission, Vision, and Values and be an ambassador of MVV.
• Manage multi-state sales tax compliance, filings, and payments.
• Oversee property tax filings, assessments, and related compliance.
• Support business licensing, renewals, registrations, and programs.
• Research tax regulations and monitor nexus across jurisdictions.
• Ensure adherence to tax laws, including sales tax compliance.
• Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize efficiency and minimize liabilities.
• Lead audit support and respond to notices from tax authorities.
• Improve tax processes, controls, and systems.
• Partner with cross-functional teams on tax treatment and compliance; provide training.
• Support tax technology enhancements and process automation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and risk mitigation.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and implement adjustments.
• Compile financial data for tax reporting and internal file maintenance.
• Conduct analysis of financial data to support decisions.
