Empirical Wealth Management, LLC is seeking a Senior Tax Associate to join our tax practice. This role emphasizes technical tax work, collaborative planning, and direct client service.

You will prepare and review tax returns, mentor junior staff, and provide proactive tax planning. Strong communication and research skills are essential, with CPA eligibility or JD preferred and Master’s in taxation favored. Salary range $85,000–$105,000.

Competenze

• 2–5 years public accounting experience with taxation background.
• CPA eligible or JD; Master’s in taxation preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple client engagements and projects.
• Proficiency with tax software and research tools (CCH Axcess Tax, BNA, CCH IntelliConnect).

Mansioni

• Provide initial tax preparation support, including information gathering, workpaper creation, data entry, and first-draft return preparation.
• Review returns and projects prepared by Tax Associates and interns.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior team members.
• Prepare tax projections and provide proactive tax planning recommendations.
• Prepare responses to IRS and state tax notices and correspondence.
• Collaborate with the advisory team on tax planning matters and client service initiatives.
• Communicate with clients by phone and email and participate in client meetings as needed.
• Conduct tax research and provide support on technical projects and planning matters.
