Job summary

Doeren Mayhew seeks a Senior Tax Associate to join our Punta Gorda & Miami, FL offices. The role leads tax return preparation for individuals, C-Corp, S-Corp, partnerships, trusts, and estates across diverse industries.

You will mentor junior staff, review work, and build client relationships while delivering timely, accurate tax services. CPA preferred but not required; 3+ years domestic tax in public accounting is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
• CPA License preferred but not required.
• Willingness to pursue Master’s Degree in Taxation or Accounting.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation of tax returns for individuals, C-Corp, S-Corp, partnerships, trusts and estates.
• Demonstrate advanced taxation techniques and handle complex returns.
• Review teammates' work and provide mentorship to develop skills.
• Build strong client relationships and ensure client needs are met.
• Maintain timely communication with team and clients on deadlines and deliverables.
• Train new employees on firm technology, processes and procedures.
• Participate in practice development to grow referral networks.
