Job summary

OnlyHire.Me in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a tax professional with 4–7 years of public accounting tax experience to prepare and review complex returns, including multi-state and real estate scenarios. You will own returns from start to finish and serve as a technical buffer between staff and the Tax Manager.

The role uses UltraTax, SurePrep, TaxDome, and QuickBooks. CPA license is preferred or actively pursued; strong communication with clients and mentoring junior staff are key as the team grows.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of public accounting tax experience.
• Strong experience with 1040s, 1120s, 1120S, and 1065s.
• CPA license preferred, or actively pursuing.
• Ability to own returns from start to finish and propose solutions.
• Organized and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex tax returns, including individual, real estate, investments, S corporations and partnerships, and multi-state returns.
• Serve as a technical buffer between staff and the Tax Manager.
• Translate review notes into clean, final workpapers.
• Research tax issues and summarize conclusions clearly.
• Communicate directly with clients on routine tax matters.
• Help improve workflows, templates, and documentation.
• Mentor junior and staff-level accountants as the team grows.
