Job summary

NorthPoint Search Group seeks a Senior Tax Associate in Manhattan, NY. You will prepare and review federal and state returns, support ASC 740 provisions, conduct technical research, manage engagements, and mentor junior staff while serving international inbound clients.

The role focuses on corporate and partnership tax filings for manufacturing and distribution clients, with a collaborative, growth-focused environment and opportunities to develop professionally.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of federal and state income tax experience, ideally in public accounting.
• Experience with manufacturing and distribution clients.
• CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
• Strong English research and writing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal and state corporate and partnership tax returns.
• Assist with ASC 740 income tax provisions.
• Manage engagements and client communications.
• Mentor junior staff and interns.
• Perform technical tax research on domestic and international issues.
• Stay current on tax law changes.
