Strategic Wealth Advisors Group (SWAG) seeks a Senior Tax Associate to build and lead our in-house tax and accounting department. You will oversee tax preparation, proactive planning, and collaborate with financial advisors to deliver comprehensive strategies that help clients retire with confidence.

This role emphasizes advising, building systems, and growing a tax practice, with access to training and industry resources for professional growth. Mon-Fri schedule and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• CPA license required.
• 3+ years of tax experience in public accounting or financial advisory.
• Strong knowledge of individual, business, and trust taxation.
• Experience providing tax planning in addition to tax compliance.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with financial planners to develop proactive tax strategies.
• Prepare and review individual, trust, and business tax returns with accuracy.
• Provide year-round tax planning and consulting services.
• Educate clients on tax laws, opportunities, and strategies.
• Identify tax-saving opportunities and implement planning solutions.

• Partner with our financial planners to develop proactive tax strategies that align with clients' long-term financial goals.
• Prepare and review individual, trust, and business tax returns with accuracy andattention to detail.
• Provide year-round tax planning and consulting services, not just seasonal taxpreparation.

Requirements

• Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (Master's in Taxation preferred).
• 3+ years of tax experience in public accounting or a financial advisory environment.
• Strong knowledge of individual, business, and trust taxation.
• Experience providing tax planning in addition to tax compliance.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with financial advisors and other professionals.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with an interest in helping build and grow a tax practice.
