Job summary

Broadgate, a well-established accounting and wealth advisory firm in New Jersey, is growing its tax team and seeks an experienced CPA to join. Flexible level depending on fit; collaborative, client-focused environment with opportunity to handle diverse tax engagements.

You will prepare and review returns, identify planning opportunities, mentor junior staff, and work with managers and partners on technical matters while building strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license.
• 3-6 or 12-15 years of experience at a public CPA firm.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and reviewing partnership, corporate, fiduciary, and individual tax returns
• Identifying and executing tax planning opportunities for clients
• Supporting client accounting and tax engagements alongside the wider team
• Partnering with managers and partners on technical research and client matters
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships while delivering high quality accounting, tax, and consulting services

This role sits within a 25-30 person accounting team and offers genuine room to grow as the firm continues to take on new business. What you'll be doing:

• Preparing and reviewing partnership, corporate, fiduciary, and individual tax returns
• Identifying and executing tax planning opportunities for clients

• Building and maintaining strong client relationships while delivering high quality accounting, tax, and consulting services

What we're looking for:

• Accounting degree required, MBA or Masters in Tax/Accounting a plus
• 3-6 or 12-15 years of experience at a public CPA firm
• Active CPA license
• Strong working knowledge of Lacerte, QuickBooks, and MS Office (especially Excel)
• Sharp analytical and critical thinking skills with real attention to detail
• A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset and strong communication skills
• Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team
