Job summary

Avangrid is seeking a Senior Analyst - TaxReports to manage indirect tax planning and compliance within the Corporate Tax Department. You will prepare and support sales, use, and gross receipts tax filings across multiple jurisdictions, while assisting with tax accounting and forecasting for development projects.

The role requires strong Excel skills, tax research capability, and effective communication as you coordinate with project teams and government relations on incentives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting, business, or finance.
• 6+ years of accounting, financial analysis, or tax accounting experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other business software.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file sales, use, and gross receipts tax returns across jurisdictions.
• Coordinate tax registrations for multi-jurisdiction operations.
• Identify tax risks and support mitigation solutions.
• Provide guidance on tax accounting, budgets, accruals, and GAAP/IFRS requirements.
• Support government relations related to tax incentives.
• Research tax laws to develop models and forecasts.
• Assist project teams with tax incentive evaluations.
