Job summary

AVANGRID MANAGEMENT COMPANY, LLC. is seeking a Manager - Tax to oversee income tax accounting, reporting, and compliance across GAAP, IFRS, and SEC standards.

The role leads tax staff, supports financial reporting, and interacts with external auditors to ensure accurate disclosures. The ideal candidate has a CPA or equivalent, a Master’s in Taxation/JD preferred, and extensive tax experience in regulated energy settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of corporate income tax accounting and reporting requirements under GAAP and IFRS.
• Knowledge of SEC tax reporting requirements.
• Understanding of corporate tax accounting and reporting processes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects and analyze complex tax accounting and reporting matters.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare technical tax documentation and communicate tax related information effectively.
• Proficiency with computer applications used to support tax accounting and reporting activities.
• Ability to train and develop other individuals while maintaining accountability for results.

Responsibilities

• Oversee income tax accounting and reporting processes to ensure GAAP/IFRS/SEC compliance.
• Direct tax staff supporting accounting, reporting, and compliance activities.
• Execute SOX controls for quarterly and annual U.S. GAAP tax reporting.
• Improve tax reporting and internal controls.
• Lead tax accounting research on new GAAP/IFRS guidance and transactions.
• Prepare technical memoranda for tax accounting positions.
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors on tax disclosures and reporting.
• Manage ETR calculations for budgeting and forecasting.
• Evaluate uncertain tax positions and unitary tax matters.
• Administer Tax Allocation Agreement reporting requirements.
