Amentum is seeking a Senior, Tax Advisory to join its dynamic tax function. The role reports to the Senior Director, Tax Advisory and involves tax research, planning, and controversy work in a fast-paced environment.

US citizenship is required, and candidates should be within driving distance to Northern Virginia offices. Responsibilities include leading tax research, planning, and M&A support, along with coordination with Legal, Business Development, Contracts, and Treasury teams.

Qualifications

• Proven tax research, planning, and advisory capabilities.
• Ability to analyze complex data and provide insights.
• Experience collaborating with Legal, Business Development, Contracts, and Treasury teams.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support domestic and international tax advisory projects, including financing and M&A.
• Conduct technical tax research and support planning, modeling, and structuring.
• Assist with U.S. R&D tax credit claims and documentation.
• Research tax exemptions under bilateral defense-type agreements (SOFA).
• Support tax audits and controversies across jurisdictions, including data gathering and responses.
• Monitor federal, state, and foreign tax developments and advise on impacts.
