Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a year-round Tax Advisor to prepare accurate returns and build lasting client relationships in a local Block Advisors office. You will interview clients, uncover savings opportunities, and provide guidance on complex tax situations with the support of training and technology.

Responsibilities include advising clients, handling IRS notices, and collaborating with team members to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
• Experience preparing complex individual and business returns.
• Client-facing, consultative or advisory experience required.
• Must meet IRS/state continuing education and requirements.
• High school diploma or GED completed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct client interviews to assess financial situations and goals.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and explain recommendations.
