H&R Block in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a year-round Block Advisor to prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses. You will conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications, then deliver clear, personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities.

This role supports IRS notices and audit guidance, collaborates with the team in a client‑focused office, and participates in training.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• 5+ years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
• Experience with complex individual returns and business returns, including tax planning, audit support, and notice resolution.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsabilités

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations, including individual and business returns.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations, life changes, and tax implications—then provide clear, personalized recommendations.
• Build trusted, year-round client relationships by delivering empathetic, consultative service and identifying tax savings opportunities and Block Advisors products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance to clients as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment.
