Job summary

Transamerica is seeking a Tax Professional to prepare and review local, state, and federal returns and quarterly tax provisions, and to support related tax research and reporting. You will work in a fast-paced team environment with opportunities to lead small projects.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent, 5–8 years of tax experience, strong skills in Microsoft Office, tax research tools (RIA/Westlaw), and excellent written and verbal communication, analytical

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent work experience.
• 5-8 years of professional experience in tax, accounting, or equivalent area.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), on-line research software (RIA, Westlaw), and tax/accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and/or reviews local, state, and federal tax returns and quarterly tax provisions.
• Prepares and/or reviews amended tax returns and investment taxation workpapers.
• Researches complicated tax law and drafts technical memos.
• Identifies problems and develops alternatives.
• Implements project plans and leads small projects or parts of complex projects.
• Coaches, develops, and trains staff.
