Job summary

Kemper CPA Group is seeking a Senior Accountant for our Tracy, California office. The role involves preparing and reviewing federal, state, local, and special tax returns for diverse clients, and maintaining client relationships. Expect some seasonal overtime and a collaborative, growth-focused team environment.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in accounting, 3–5 years of tax experience in public accounting, and a CPA designation. Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
• Three to five years of public accounting experience in tax.
• CPA designation is required.
• Strong communication and analytical abilities; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Complete moderately complex federal, state, local, and special tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, and estates independently and with minimal direction.
• Comply with federal, state, and local requirements and communicate with partners, staff, and clients to ensure timely and accurate tax reporting.
• Prepare and/or review financial statements, reports and records by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintain professional standards and knowledge through ongoing learning and professional development.
• Contribute to the firm’s success by promoting efficient execution and cultivating positive client relationships.
