Job summary

BOS Staffing in Raleigh, NC is seeking a CPA with a strong background in corporate and partnership taxation. The role requires preparing and reviewing federal, state and local returns, tax planning, and research to support client engagements.

You will work with accounting and tax teams to optimize cash flows, analyze tax provisions, and ensure compliance across multistate jurisdictions. CPA certification is required; advanced Excel skills are a must.

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience in tax and tax research.
• 2 years' experience as staff accountant in public accounting.
• Experience using tax return preparation and accounting software.
• Knowledge of Sales and Local Tax and computation of same; knowledge of Tax Forms (1120, 1120S, 1065, 1040s) and multistate tax forms.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other Microsoft applications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and/or review tax returns for corporations and partnerships (federal, state, local).
• Participate in client engagements by providing corporate and partnership tax services.
• Devise, plan and execute tax strategies and research potential tax issues.
• Prepare property tax returns and state tax returns.
• Field and answer client questions regarding tax returns and financial statements.
• Assist Accounting and Tax Managers with all duties.
• Review reports to analyze projections of sales and profit versus actuals and advise on planning improvements.
