Qualifications

• Experience leading tax engagements end-to-end from planning to review.
• Strong background in federal and multi-state corporate tax and compliance.
• Proven ability to develop and coach tax staff in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with mergers, acquisitions, or significant transactions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage tax engagements from planning through completion, ensuring quality, accuracy, and compliance.
• Review complex federal, state, and local tax returns, including entity-level filings and schedules.
• Develop and implement tax strategies that align with business objectives and growth.
• Oversee and review tax work prepared by junior staff, providing coaching and technical guidance.
• Coordinate and manage tax planning around projects, contracts, and transactions to minimise tax exposure.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and advise management on implications for the business.
• Liaise with external advisors and tax authorities, handling inquiries and audits.
• Prepare and present clear tax analyses and recommendations to finance leadership.
