Creative Financial Staffing, LLC represents a growing Grand Rapids CPA firm seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join its tax practice. The role involves preparing and reviewing individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns, with tax planning and client relationship building at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in public accounting or a similar tax-focused environment.
• Experience preparing and/or reviewing individual, C corporation, and partnership tax returns.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax compliance and tax planning.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong client service, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines independently.
• CPA license preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and review individual income tax returns (Form 1040), C corporation returns, and partnership tax returns.
• Oversee tax compliance engagements from initial client information gathering through final filing.
• Provide tax planning, research, and consulting services to individuals and business clients.
• Identify tax-saving opportunities and communicate practical recommendations to clients.
• Manage client relationships, respond to complex tax questions, and serve as a trusted advisor.
• Mentor and support developing tax staff, providing technical guidance and review feedback.
• Monitor engagement timelines, manage competing priorities, and ensure work is completed accurately and on schedule.
• Stay informed of changes in federal and state tax laws and assess their impact on clients.
• Contribute to process improvements, client retention, and business development as appropriate to experience level.
• Help support the firm’s continued growth and development of its tax practice.
