STV Incorporated in Douglassville, PA is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join our corporate accounting team. This hybrid role requires three days in the office and offers exposure to federal, multistate, and indirect taxes.

You will prepare and review tax returns, manage tax payments, and support audits under the Sr. Tax Manager guidance. The position emphasizes accuracy, independence, and collaboration within a large professional services firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field, with 6+ years as a corporate accountant or 3+ in public accounting.
• Active CPA license required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to meet detailed reporting requirements.
• Effective prioritization and multitasking under tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work independently and collaboratively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Support the company's income tax process and prepare financial information for external providers.
• Prepare and/or review federal and multistate income and franchise tax returns.
• Coordinate timely tax payments to income tax authorities.
• Maintain and reconcile tax accounts, resolving discrepancies.
• Prepare indirect tax returns (sales and use, property, licenses).
• Conduct tax research to address issues.
• Support tax audits and respond to notices; assist Sr. Tax Manager.
• Serve as a resource for tax department management on day-to-day issues.
• Complete other special projects as assigned.

Job description

STV is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join our corporate accounting team. This position is designated as hybrid (3 days week in office) and can be located in our Douglassville, PA office.

Job responsibilities include:

• Support the company's income tax process, including the preparation of financial information for external service providers
• Prepare and/or review federal and multistate income and franchise tax returns
• Coordinate timely tax payments to various income tax authorities.
• Maintain, review, and reconcile tax accounts, and proactively resolve discrepancies
• Prepare various indirect tax returns, such as sales and use, personal property, business licenses and other tax filings
• Conduct technical research to address tax issues
• Support company tax audits, respond to tax notices, and facilitate timely resolution of other tax matters under the guidance of the Sr.Tax Manager
• Serve as a resource for tax department management, assisting with day-to-day issues and inquiries arising from all company areas
• Completes other special projects as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field, supported by a minimum of 6 years' work experience as a corporate accountant or 3 years' work experience in public accounting
• Active CPA license in your work state required
• Strong organizational & communication skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to meet highly detailed reporting requirements
• Effective prioritization and multitasking skills, especially under tight deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office suite of products #LI-AW1 #HYBRID

Compensation Range:

$79,979.92 - $91,405.62
