Job summary

STV in Douglassville, PA is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join our corporate accounting team. This hybrid role requires three days in the office each week and offers hands-on exposure to federal and multi-state income, franchise and indirect tax work, as well as tax process improvements.

You will prepare and review tax returns, coordinate payments to authorities, perform technical tax research, support audits, maintain tax accounts, and assist Sr. Tax Manager with day-to-day issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field with 6+ years as corporate accountant or 3+ years in public accounting.
• Active CPA license required in your work state.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to meet highly detailed reporting requirements.
• Effective prioritization and multitasking under tight deadlines.
• Proficient in Excel and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Support the company's income tax process, including the preparation of financial information for external service providers.

• Complete other special projects as assigned.

Job Responsibilities Include

• Support the company's income tax process, including the preparation of financial information for external service providers
• Prepare and/or review federal and multistate income and franchise tax returns
• Coordinate timely tax payments to various income tax authorities.
• Maintain, review, and reconcile tax accounts, and proactively resolve discrepancies
• Prepare various indirect tax returns, such as sales and use, personal property, business licenses and other tax filings
• Conduct technical research to address tax issues
• Support company tax audits, respond to tax notices, and facilitate timely resolution of other tax matters under the guidance of the Sr.Tax Manager
• Serve as a resource for tax department management, assisting with day-to-day issues and inquiries arising from all company areas
• Completes other special projects as assigned

Required Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field, supported by a minimum of 6 years' work experience as a corporate accountant or 3 years' work experience in public accounting
• Active CPA license in your work state required
• Strong organizational & communication skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to meet highly detailed reporting requirements
• Effective prioritization and multitasking skills, especially under tight deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office suite of products

Compensation Range

$79,979.92 - $91,405.62
