Job summary

SAIC is seeking a manager to lead a task order for a state-of-the-art satellite ground system at Kirtland AFB, New Mexico. The manager will report to the program manager and support the Space Systems Command Innovation and Prototyping Delta to develop, deploy, modernize, and expand the program and its customers.

The role requires a strong background in systems engineering, acquisition, and project leadership, with TS/SCI eligibility.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline with 10+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s with 8+ years.
Active TS/SCI clearance with SCI eligibility and ability to obtain/maintain TS/SCI.
Minimum 5 years in systems development, engineering, and acquisition.
Proven ability to manage projects to budget and schedule.
Proven ability to manage staff.

Responsibilities

Capture system requirements and develop system baselines.
Conduct full lifecycle engineering reviews including SSRs, SDRs, PDRs and CDRs.
Support configuration management processes including ECP, ERB/CCB.
Identify risks and develop risk management plans and mitigations.
Design and implement technical solutions for new business needs.
Respond to and resolve issues by debugging and root-cause analysis with cross-functional teams.
Document hardware, firmware, and communication system requirements.
Work with Systems Test Team to define verification and validation strategy and coverage based on risk.
Manage technical team performance and interactions.
