Job summary

SAIC is seeking a facilities and hardware specialist to support satellite ground systems at Kirtland AFB, NM. You will install, repair and maintain IT and telecom equipment, and participate in on-call support and travel to Schriever SFB as needed.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or architecture, 5 years of hardware/facilities experience, and TS/SCI with SCI eligibility. Strong teamwork and safety compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or architectural field with 5 years of hardware/facilities experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with SCI eligibility and ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• Experience supporting IT equipment including cabling, racks, servers, switches.
• Demonstrated ability to meet tight schedules and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Review mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic designs for compliance with objectives.
• Assist in estimating equipment purchases and major repairs.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot facility hardware and systems.
• Provide emergency and scheduled maintenance on facility and equipment.
• Diagnose problems, replace parts, and test adjustments.
• Manage spare parts and storage for ground systems in a classified area.
