Job summary

Elanco Tiergesundheit AG in Indianapolis is seeking a Senior Research Scientist to lead novel target identification and validation across animal diseases, helping build the early drug discovery pipeline. You will guide cross-functional teams using in vitro techniques, AI/ML platforms, and NAMs to accelerate Hit-to-Lead efforts for small molecules and biologics.

• Ph.D. in Cell/Molecular Biology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, or related field with postdoctoral training.
• ,

Responsibilities

• Lead target identification and prioritization using in vitro/in vivo experiments, literature reviews, bioinformatics and functional genomics.
• Design and deploy high-throughput and multi-modal screening strategies to identify novel starting points.
• Guide cross-functional discovery teams from concept through target validation, collaborating with Computational Sciences, Chemistry, and Preclinical Development.
• Develop biomarkers and translational models including organoids and CRISPR/Cas9 edited cells to accelerate discovery.
• Manage external CRO partnerships and biotech collaborations for discovery campaigns.
