Job summary

Schneider in Houston, TX seeks a Senior Tanker Truck Technician for the third shift (6:30 p.m.–5:00 a.m., Wednesday–Friday and every other weekend). You will perform major and minor repairs on tanker trailers and tractors, and conduct inspections.

Responsibilities include diagnosing, estimating work, and deciding when to repair or replace components with safety and cost in mind. Four years tanker experience is required; associate degree preferred; own tools within 30 days; diesel tools mastery.

Qualifications

• Four years tanker technician experience required.
• Associate degree in diesel technology or related field preferred.
• Own tools within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to provide maintenance and repair recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs on tanker trailers and tractors.
• Complete tanker trailer inspections, diagnosis and work estimations.
