Job summary

Hennig is seeking a Welder III - Tank Welder to perform advanced tank fit-up and welding, producing watertight assemblies and interpreting fabrication prints.

You will weld multiple types and positions, identify nonconforming welds, and prepare units for testing, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality in a manufacturing environment.

Candidates should have 5+ years MIG welding experience, high school diploma, and relevant welding certifications.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/GED required.
• Certifications: D1.1 structural certification and D1.3 11-guage certification.
• Experience: 5+ years experience as a MIG welder and one year of continuous experience in a manufacturing environment required.
• Reading: Must be able to read and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Interpret tank fabrication prints and position components.
• Perform welds in multiple positions and types as required.
• Identify nonconforming welds and perform repairs/rework.
• Prepare completed tank assemblies for testing and downstream operations.
• Maintain safety, PPE, and 5S requirements.
