Job summary

Delaware Nation Industries seeks a Senior Advisor to support the Office of Policy Planning and Resource (R/PPR) in the Bureau of Public Diplomacy. The role focuses on studying PD workforce needs, developing human capital strategies, and coordinating with HR offices and senior leadership to advance U.S.

foreign policy goals. Candidates should bring extensive leadership experience, strategic planning expertise, and a track record of implementing PD initiatives in overseas and domestic settings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of ten years of experience in public diplomacy or working with U.S. foreign affairs agencies or international organizations.
• Experience using strategic planning tools and procedures mandated by the U.S. Department of State and OMB.
• Experience leading organizational development, design initiatives, or change management in PD contexts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct organizational assessments of Public Diplomacy sections at overseas posts and recommend design changes.
• Coordinate R/PPR working groups to assess staffing, skills, and capacity for cohesive structures.
• Monitor and evaluate Post PD Staffing Initiatives and advise on adjustments.
• Support analysis and refinement of the Bureau Strategic Plan and PD Strategic Plan.
