Job summary

Poseidon Aerospace is seeking its first dedicated Talent Acquisition hire to own the full recruiting function from sourcing through onboarding for engineers, pilots, and operators in a highly technical aerospace environment. This onsite role is based in the San Francisco Bay Area and will partner closely with the Head of People to shape headcount strategy.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of full-cycle recruiting in aerospace/defense or deep-tech startup environments.
• Experience taking TA function from 0 to 1.
• Proven ability to recruit for highly technical roles (propulsion, avionics, controls, flight test).
• Hands-on ATS ownership and workflow configuration, not just usage.
• Strong sourcing across active and passive channels.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to engage senior technical candidates and executives.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle recruiting end-to-end, from sourcing to onboarding.
• Design and stand up TA infrastructure, interview rubrics, and metrics.
• Lead candidate experience onsite, ensuring a fast, respectful process.
• Develop sourcing strategies across networks, universities, military pipelines, and events.
• Partner with Head of People and hiring managers on headcount planning and sequencing.
