Job summary

Nordstrom in Murray, UT is looking for a Tailor/Fitter to measure customers, fit garments, and complete alterations with care and precision. You will work with the Alterations & Store Team to meet productivity goals, deliver exceptional customer service, and use store technology to manage requests.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of tailoring/sewing experience, strong communication, and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment with a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of previous fitting, tailoring, and sewing experience preferred.
• Clear, professional communication with coworkers and customers.
• Ability to stay organized and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and safely operate sewing and pressing machinery.

Responsibilities

• Measure customers for size, fit garments on customers, and mark alterations.
• Perform fittings and complete alterations per Nordstrom guidelines and standards.
• Meet department and personal productivity goals following proper processes.
• Utilize store technology to manage and organize alteration requests.
• Collaborate within Alterations & Store Team to deliver excellent customer service.
• Educate customers on fit, style, construction, and trend.
